Braves have avoided paying a $1 million bonus by releasing him rather than bringing him up to the team. He pitched 11 scoreless innings in minor league rehab work. He says that he still wants to pitch in the majors.
The Jays should take a look at him....considering half their starting rotation is on the DL. Could be a good stop-gap....till they get Marcum & McGowan back for next season.
