Jacobs is a power back with terrible hands while Spiller is a speed/outside rusher and a dangerous receiving threat. Is Jacobs just that insecure about his roster spot? Unless the Giants are completely revamping their running game, that is just fucking stupid.
Jacobs is too big and runs too hard to be a full time #1 and he should know that. He just doesn't have the endurance for over 15-18 carries.
He's always had that kind of attitude regarding his talent and play. It's part of what makes him a good leader for that offense. He'll play harder if they do draft an RB or if his carries go down. He's better with fewer carries anyway.

I dunno. If we had Ronnie Brown and Caddy on the team I wouldn't object to Jacobs leaving. Of course if that happened I would also not object to checking Jerry Reese into a Methadone Clinic, but that goes without saying.
