Lots of news coming out of Oakland this morning involving names that have been floated around here since the season ended. Tyvon Branch was franchised, Michaedl Bush will hit the open market and Kamerion Wimbley will most likely be cut if he doesn't restructure. http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2012/03/02/SPOD1NEUO6.DTL
Bush and Greene as a two headed monster would be beastly. With McKnight as a change of pace back? Yikes... look out opposing teams. That being said, Bush isn't going anywhere unless he's the full time starter.
Bush wants the rock in his hands. hes been sitting enough and he wants his chance. i would love to have him we would just wear down opposing D's with greene and bush. Two back set and have mcknight split either greene or bush. it would be hell. With that being said he wants to be on a team where hes the feature back
I think Bush just wants to get paid. Realistically, how many teams need a "feature" back? In the AFC, I count 4 -- NE, CIN, CLE, IND. In the NFC, I count 3 -- GB, DET, SEA (and that's if Lynch isn't franchised). Not that things can't change in the next few weeks, but I think that Bush will be splitting carries at least 60/40 anywhere he goes.
I agree with everyone on Bush ... not a good fit here. I hate to say this ... but David Harris aside, Wimbley is a better player than any of our current LB's. I'd definitely give him a look if the money is reasonable.
michael bush got a shot to be the man last year when mcfadden went down. and he really wore down down the stretch. i don't see anyone wanting him to be a feature back anymore. just a really good complement to whoever the lead guy is.
Bush and Greene have similar skill sets. Doubt he'd want to split reps with Greene. Wimbley will be too expensive.
Let's sign Mickey Mouse while we're at it I get the feeling everyone here wants to sign every FA on the market. Bush isn't worth a dime to us.
