Brady's injury could shift $150 million in fantasy winnings

    It's fairly obvious the effect of his injury has in the fantasy world but the dollar figures are astounding.

    It wasn't until I started playing FF this year that I realized how popular it was.

    On the Yahoo stat tracker there were over 100K drops of Brady after he went on IR. Figure 10 teams per league with one each for Brady. That's an absolute minimum of 1 million FF teams in one league alone. Add the other leagues (NFL.com, CBSSports, etc) and I wouldn't be surprised if there were up to 5M fantasy football teams going this year.

    Even considering that guys play more than one team, the estimate must still be somewhere around 1-2% of the males in the US playing FF.

    not surprising. Millions of people join pay leagues. People with Brady would've had a good shot of finishing in the money. With Brady done for the season? Their chances are slim indeed.

    150 million is an unsubstantiated number. Its arbitrary even. It's sports buff a bookie?
