I though Bradway was a good GM when he was here. He kept preaching about getting the cap in order and building through the draft. Something along the way changed his thinking. We really didnt build through the draft and our cap is horrible. Hopefully Mikey T stays focused and builds this team the right way.
Bradway was a horrible gm and we are not in that bad of situation cap wise. Once we get rid of some of the garbage do some restructuring we should be fine for next offseason. But this is a rebuilding year, don't expect any high priced free agents.
He was a gm in WAY over his head. His drafts stunk, he lost his good young players, and gave the greybeards and the injured ridiculous contracts. I always thought he was on Miami's payroll to be the GM of the jets.
I really don't think Bradway could of handled this situation, I agree with your Topic to the thread...So many decisions for someone on the hot-seat, he couldn't afford a re-building year, he needed to win now to secure his job...
But he was still was a horrible gm. He's like Isiah Thomas: a good college scout who should have no part in the planning of an organization. Some people are not meant to be decision makers who have to negotiate contracts. He's one of them and so is that POS Isiah Thomas.
Tannenbaum was responsible for negotiating contracts, not Bradway. They both should have been let go, but with Woody Johnson there is no accountablilty, otherwise why does Jay Cross have a job?
Why should Tannenbaum be let go? He was told to do what Bradway wanted him to do. If Bradway says get Law signed and Tannenbaum negotiates the contract why is that Tannenbaums fault? Bradway would say what he wants done and Tannenbaum would follow his orders. I think Tannenbaum is an excellent choice for GM because he's a businessman and he's good friends with Mangini so they can work well. Obviously Mangini has a type of player he wants to go after and if he had a gm that didn't see eye to eye with him that would just cause more problems. As for Jay Cross, who cares? he has nothing to do with football. Just be thankful that Herm isn't coaching this team and that Bradway does not have final say on personnel decisions.
