I'm not a draft guru of any kind, nor do I pay much attention to college football.

But I would love to get both sides of the arguement. I don't understand why a team would take a QB who played in the spread and just came off a shoulder injury over the Charlie Weis groomed Clausen?

And I do realize Clausen has only one s.

Right there with ya. Wasn't a fan of Bradford last year as a prospect, let alone this year after his injuries. He was slated ahead of Sanchez last year. Could you imagine if we traded to 5 for Bradford :X

Jimmy Clausen is and always has been my top quarterback prospect.

I've gone out on a limb to defend this guy: I think he's the best passing prospect since Carson Palmer, maybe Peyton Manning.

I'll have an uneasy feeling if he ends up on the Bills. I don't want to the Jets to face that guy for the next decade.

If Mark Sanchez stayed at USC for his senior year, they'd be neck and neck. I think Sanchez will be the better quarterback in this league, but Clausen will be a better passer.

He's a big, strong, athletic quarterback that's a proven winner. That's what they see. Also, there really isn't anyone else besides Clausen. So, if a team needs a quarterback, they only have one other choice.

I personally can't stand many passing quarterbacks that come out of the Big 12. Like Colt McCoy, Bradford played against crappy defenses in a souped up spread offense. I think he's in for a rude awakening in the NFL.

If St. Louis ends up taking him, they better protect him. I think he's a rough season away from becoming the next David Carr.

Clausen gets knocked because people see him as a Jay Cutler type (rightly or wrongly) that will be a bit of a locker room bitch and create frictions - even though I have never seen anything to substantiate this view.

I think this will end up being a Alex Smith/Aaron Rodgers type situation with the much better passer getting passed over.

I too hope the Bills don't pick this guy up as I think he would be a real shot in the arm for that franchise.

I guess the answer to that would be Brady Quinn.

I think Clausen is a much better passing prospect than quinn was, and on top of that, I still mandate Quinn is better than people give him credit for. I think he can be a starter in this league in the same type of situation Orton was last year. I also think its proven that he is better than Russel and Ted ginn the guy miami passed him over for...

Clausen has nearly perfect throwing mechanics. IMO, I think if he's put into a decent situation, he will be a hell of a QB in this league. I'm REALLY hoping the Bills pass on him if he's there at their pick

My biggest problem with Clausen is he doesn't feel pressure well at all. I know his offensive line was bad at Notre Dame to say the least, but there were too many times where he hung on to the football too long and took unnecessary hits and sacks (this occurred most notably in the navy game where clausen held on to the football too long and took a safety that cost them the game).

If he goes to the bills I would love it because I think rex ryan's blitz happy scheme would destroy him.

I don't disagree with people regarding his experience in a pro system, accuracy, and mechanics, but if you can't feel pressure and react properly its going to be an uphill battle.

Attitude is definitely a question though he seems like he is more mature.

Those are my thoughts, not sure about Bradford though? Has good accuracy as well, big and strong, but definitely concerned about his arm after a shoulder surgery.
