Week 6: Brad Smith: 26 yards per return Leon Washington: 25.7 yards per return Smith has the better average for the SECOND STRAIGHT WEEK.
Both are really good KRs....IMO, it's a wash. I'm not going to hate on Leon, but Brad Smith is a much better ST player...plain and simple.
we should have kept leon and stapled Woodhead to his back and we could have had the most explosive playmaker evAr!!
He clearly said in the past 2 weeks. It has been 3 weeks, or to say it another way, 21 days, since Leon Washington brought a KR to the house.
Brad Smith is nearly as good as Leon Washington at what Leon does best. But Leon can't protect the punter. He can't gun down a returner. He can't rush the punter. Brad Smith can. ...and I still haven't mentioned Smith's biggest contribution to the team. Smith > Washington
The thing I like most about Smith is how he waits for the play to develop. He always finds the open space it's amazing.
I really like Leon as a player and wish him the best throughout his career. I understand why we got rid of him since there was no way we were going to sign him after the season and his agent is a douche (plus the injury). With that said, I would still love to have him on the roster, but you can't keep everybody. His wife is also a gigantic CUNT Side note: How is Leon doing running the ball this year? I haven't watched Seattle much. I know his average is low, but that doesn't always tell the whole story.
Easily over. Especially if Leon does something during the Jets bye week. == Actually checked out about 4 Seahawks games this year. Leon's having success as a returner but he's not being used in the offense. Just check out the stat line from this game ... 0 rushes & 1 pass. Leon's not a great blocker, it's not like there's a reason to keep him on the field if you're not going to pass or throw to him. Leon's going to need to put in some more time or convince somebody in on staff for more time because he's not even having much of a role as a 3rd down back either. Which is surprising....based on his 2 TD game, I figured they'd give him a shot on some 3rd down situations.
