    ROFL!!

Ex-NFL star Chad Johnson gets 30 days in jail

Johnson, known as Chad Ochocinco for his jersey number in Spanish during his playing days, had reached a deal with
prosecutors calling for community service and counseling instead of jail. ... It was all set until Johnson, when asked by McHugh if
he was satisfied with his lawyer Adam Swickle, gave the attorney a light swat on the rear
    ...
‘‘I don’t know that you’re taking this whole thing seriously. I just saw you slap your attorney on the backside. Is there something funny about
this?’’ McHugh said, slapping the plea deal document down on her desk....Johnson, 35, tried to apologize and insisted he meant no disrespect.
...‘‘It’s not the first time he’s behaved that way in my courtroom,’’ she said. Johnson then was handcuffed and hauled away to jail.

    Good for the judge.
IF the state does you the huge favor of offering you no jail time for an assault charge despite you not following the terms of your probation, you need to act like an adult. If you treat it like a joke the Judge should throw your ass in jail.

Our court system is a joke anyways. Some people are just too anal, and shouldn't be judges in the first place. Why would him doing that affect the case or the deal in the least? Clear example of some bitch getting emotional and over reacting over something insignificant that has nothing to do with the case itself. Let the facts do the talking, not your emotions.

Chad was an idiot. You are charged with domestic violence. You violated your probation. A female judge has your case. Chad was in court not the football field.

He showed a lack of common sense and awareness of his situation. Know where you are at and act accordingly.

That's fine and I do think he got off pretty easy considering he headbutted his girlfriend but this was a case of the judge just being a bitch. If nobody in the courtroom laughs he probably gets nothing extra. I've got famliy that work in the courts and the police department and most of these judges have egos bigger than Bill Bellichick.

In her doing this she made herself bigger than the victim in this case, the woman Johnson hit.

No it wasn't, it was a case of him being a complete asshole. He was there because he violated his probation. He should have stood there and not said a word unless spoken to. Instead he hits his attorney in the ass and laughs. She should have given him 6 months instead.

Where did he laugh? He should get 6 months in jail for congratulating his attorney?

Yeah, he should. You try pulling that stunt and see what you get especially if you don't have the bucks to pay for a high priced attorney. And yeah I guess he didn't laugh but since everybody else did it still had the same effect of disrespecting the court. It was stupid. And what is the first thing he does after getting led out in cuffs? He tweets to the world see ya in 30.

Sorry but you lose all cred after you admitted you embellished on him laughing after slapping the guy in the bum.

Sorry man, our prisons and jails are overcrowded already so let's throw a guy in for 30 days because he made people laugh.

No, he shouldn't. That's absurd, putting someone in jail for that.

And like I said, he didn't even laugh. He didn't say anything in the clip I saw, just saying no ma'am when asked a question.

He pleaded no contest in September 2012 and agreed to a deal that avoided jail time. His ex okayed the deal. He did not live up to that deal. Johnson failed to meet with probation specialists on February 15 and March 15, and failed to show proof of enrollment and completion of a batterers intervention program. This plea deal was to avoid jail time for not living up to the original deal.

His actions before the butt slap do not reflect well on him. Domestic abuse. Violated the terms of the original deal. Chad most likely got off better with a deal than most because of who he was. Add a female judge. Realize the situation you are in. Give the lawyer a handshake and thank him. Don't do anything that can be misconstrued as not taking something serious.
