Well lookie here, Shanahan was fired not because the team didn't win, or the late collapse, been thinking about for some time and because it was time for a change(sound familiar?). Look at the Denver Broncos web site, there is a blog of the press conference (blog below). He gives no other reason other then it was time for a change. We'll never know, but is it possible the Den. FO was a little embarassed by Shanahan's injury bullshit during the Jet game? Wouldn't be the number 1 reason to get rid of him but it could support an argument that someone is acting a little funny (desparate) and needs to go.
