Only 11 days until the draft! Lets make some bold predictions around here, it seems everyone has the same opinion (mostly), so lets see who will go out on a limb and who wont. Remember this can be about teams, draftee's, trades, etc. Ill start it out: One of Michael Floyd, David DeCastro, or Quinton Coples will fall to the Jets. (Maybe Trent Richardson but I think a team could trade up for him before he gets to 16) Melvin Ingram will be drafted as an OLB/DE but will end up as a MLB. The Jets will trade up in the second for a WR or OLB (whichever one isnt taken in the first). Possibly Jeffery if he falls out of the first or Shea McClellin. Jonathan Martin will fall out of the first round. The Minnesota Vikings will skip Kalil and pick Claiborne at 3 if they cant trade back. The Pats will trade back 37 times. (Not really that bold)
That's not even a prediction, thats a straight fact I'm happy we're almost single digit days away from the Draft, cant wait My predictions At least 10 trades occur in the first round (thank you new CBA) Coples falls out of the first round Burfict will be taken before round five Janoris Jenkins will be taken in the first round Probably more but Im out of predictions for the moment
Devon Still and Shea McClellin will be drafted in the first round. Micheal Floyd will be a top 10 selection. Donta Hightower will not be a Steeler. The Vikings will trade out of the #3 spot. The Dolphins will not draft a QB in the first round.
The Jets will trade into the top 10 to select Melvin Ingram (I dont know if it is bold as much as it is asinine). The Rams will reach for Fletcher Cox at 6. Stephen Hill will turn out to be the best WR in this class. Burfict will not be drafted. Blackmon will not be a top 6 pick.
God i hope so. And I also second the fact that we are only in single digits this wait is killing me ! I want to see the team that we will field
This is best time of the year. April is a great month, warmer weather, NHL playoffs, The Masters, Baseball kicks off and of course the NFL Draft. The build up of the draft is amazing, the let down Saturday night when it's over is a bummer. I'm always physically and mentally exhausted after Rd 7. Looking forward to FA signings helps.
Its true, but its fun making ridiculous predictions that have about a 2% chance of happening... In essence, thats what the draft for us is all about since what we think likely never happens simply because we arent in the FO.
trent richardson falls to the jets, the rams don't select justin blackmon, vontaze burfict is drafted in the 4th round, we trade up for alshon jeffery, dont'a hightower goes top 15, quinton coples falls past the top 15. dolphins don't select ryan tannehill (i hope they dont though, he's garbage)
Yeah, the Jets would. And NE will take all their picks this year..no trades for the first four. They will take all defensive players and be a juggernaut until Brady retires..sad but true. If anything they will trade up for Richardson.
There is a reading of Al Davis' last will and testament, in which it is revealed that he bequeathed the Raider's next 27 1st round draft picks to Bill Belichick in exchange for whoever runs a 3.3 40 in the afterlife.
1. Jets fans will be in an uproar after the Jets pick is announced. 2. One of the big draft analysts on the telecast will be shaking his head and saying the guy the Jets picked went way too high. 3. Giants fans will cheer the pick the Giants make regardless of who it is. It's hard not to cut a FO that has won two Super Bowls in 5 years some slack. 4. Somebody will make a monumentally stupid trade-up in the top 8. 5. The draft analysts on the telecast will support the move because... a. The team hasn't had a QB since the 90's. b. The team needed a play-maker on offense. c. They're holding back to pan the Jets move and don't want to be Negative Nelly today. 5. You'll hear the words "short arms" coming out of the analysts on at least two picks in the top 16. However you won't hear anything about HGH, steroids or modern training techniques creating freaks who have a body mass way out of proportion to their arm size. 6. Somebody In Mel Kiper's top 20 will fall into the middle of the 2nd round making the roll at the bottom of the screen more and more embarrassing for him as he tries to find new ways every other pick to make the point that the guy has to go in the next few picks. 7. Some team will bundle several later picks to trade up in the 2nd round and pick somebody who has slipped a handful of slots compared to their draft board. The analysts will pan the move if it was the Jets and praise it if it was anybody else. 8. Some team will trade every pick they can get their hands on in order to make one of the first few picks in the 3rd round. See 7 above for the analysts reactions.
Bold predictions: I think Floyd drops to the Jets. Oakland does not choose the fastest player with their first pick
