Kyle Wilson, #1 CB for Boise State from Piscataway, NJ. Fast as shit and could be available in the last 1st early 2nd after he lights up the combine.
Boise State SO Quarterback: Kellen Moore - if this kid had prototypical size, he'd be playing for a major college program. Best quarterback in the WAC...yes, he's better than Nevada's Colin Kaepernick. JR Running Backs: Jeremy Avery and DJ Harper - great one-two punch. Neither one provides much power, but they can both break long runs. JR Wide Receiver: Austin Pettis - tall speedster that should be drafted pretty high. SR Cornerback/Return Man: Kyle Wilson - best player in the WAC...shut down corner and dominant return specialist. JR Defensive End: Ryan Winterswyk - high motor pass rusher that gets makes plays in the backfield. Oregon JR Quarterback: Jeremiah Masoli - undersized, yet talented passer that should make a lot of plays with his feet tonight this season. This guy can run... SR Running Back/Armored Car: LaGarrette Blount - Exploded last season...most beastly runner on the west coast. Blount can run over you or around you. SR Tight End: Ed Dickson - Easy Ed will probably be the Ducks leading receiver. He's one of my top rated tight ends in 2010. JR Defensive End: Kenny Rowe - converted linebacker should find more success lining up at end. Great speed off the edge... This is a do-or-die game for the Blue Horses of Boise...if they get past Oregon tonight, they should have an easy ride to a BCS bowl. Oregon is really the only team that stands in the way of a perfect season - the Broncos have to win tonight. If it's a close game, look for Boise's HC Chris Peterson to throw EVERYTHING he has at the Ducks. Even though this is the first game of the season, it means everything for the Broncos.
OREGON SR Cornerback Walter Thurmond III --- #6 ----- preseason 1st team All American on some boards ---- I dont think he's that fast, but he's got great instincts/ball skills. There may be a little chink in your armour, Mr. E. ---- you forgot about this kid.
I'm not high on any PAC 10 corners except for UCLA's Alterraun Verner and Cal's Syd'Quan Thompson and Darian Hagan. Walter Thurmond just isn't a top tier pro corner prospect in my book. I can see him going in the 3rd or 4th round, even with a solid year. He doesn't have blazing speed and he isn't the biggest guy in the world. Good call though sapp - WTIII is one of the better players on Oregon's team.
i checked in near halftime A)boise state kicker sucks B)why is oregon ranked so high? they still didnt have a first down
what Ive noticed is that it seems every time one of the Oregon players, outside of Massoli (sp?) gets the ball, no one seems to block I can recall a couple of times where the ball carrier was tackled and when the play was over there were like 6 boise state guys and like 2 Oregon players. Man Oregon needs some work
I'm always impressed when non-BCS teams play more physically than programs with top tier recruiting operations. Boise has left a lot of points on the board, but they are still down because they don't seem prepared to fight through blocks and to fight for extra yardage.
I almost feel like taking LaGarrette Blount off of my players to watch list because of that shit he just pulled. Punching a Boise State player in the face and then going after Boise fans. Police had to hold that moron back. He just cost himself some money when the draft comes around...what a joke.
Blount should be kicked off the team, but that isn't going to happen. Oregon's best player will probably be suspended a few games. Rarely does the NCAA step in, unlike the NFL, and make decisions on player's conduct. It will be up to Oregon to self-police this incident. There will be alot of pressure on Oregon to ban Blount for the entire year...let's see if they have the balls....I doubt it. Blount has some anger issues. The punch was bad enough, but being dragged off the field by security and Oregon staff was unreal. So what a Boise player was talking smack...it happens all the time, you have to control your emotions.
He'll get suspended for a few games at the most. There's already precedent here. Just go back to 2006 with the Miami-FIU brawl which was way worse with multiple players punching and stomping on heads. Most of the participants in that game got a 1 game suspension. Yes only 1 game for basically inciting a riot on the field. He has to learn how to control his emotions better but there's no way this is more than a 2 game suspension. The NCAA is as corrupt as it in how they dole out suspensions and punishment in football and basketball. They don't want to take anymore flack by punishing this kid for a whole season for a sucker punch. Blount will also have to make a formal apology which he actually did after the game last night but I'm sure he'll have to do it again. The other kid could just as easily be reprimanded for taunting Blount to incite this incident.
...just ok? Did you not watch the first half? Mid-majors aren't supposed to completely dominate like that.
