via ESPN. I guess you can't really blame him. Atlanta has very little talent.

The predictions of a Brian Brohm drafting in April will probably disappear now, neh?

When you are playing QBs that have been out of the league for years just because they fit your system, perhaps it was not meant to be.

(An extreme example similar to Mangini shoehorning the 3-4 defense into the roster that he was given.)

Found that quite reprehensible myself, when (roddy white?) displayed that undershirt of support for Vick.

I just don't know how one can defend/support a person guilty of what Vick's done.

Petrino isn't going to like Arkansas much better. The Razorbacks have a great running back in Felix Jones returning next season, but they also are a mess at the quarterback position...just like the Falcons.

I'm cool with this one. He thought he was coaching Vick.

Why would anyone want to coach Vick? (This was the same question that I asked when he was hired)

Wow I am kind of surprised this happened so early, so who becomes the interim guy for Atlanta???

He's got the same career (NFL) record as Lou Holtz.

I figure they'll promote Mike Zimmer from defensive coordinator to interim head coach and move Emmitt Thomas from defensive backs coach to defensive coordinator.

I can't say I blame Petrino for leaving....The Falcons were a complete circus this year as a result of the Vick situation.

What I have to wonder though is why he chose Arkansas when there are better jobs available. I mean surely Michigan would have considered him if they knew he was available and if not Michigan..then perhaps LSU when les Miles goes to Michigan (Which I'm pretty sure is going to happen.)

    *shrugs*

...because before he was arrested for running a dog slaughterhouse, he was considered to be the most dangerous offensive weapon in the NFL.

It was idiotic for Jim Mora Jr. to put Mike Vick in a West Coast offense. Petrino was going to unleash him and let him use all of his abilities, but he just didn't get his chance and that was somewhat unfair to Petrino, but a good coach would've worked with what he had and won...the team shouldn't rely on just the arms and legs of Michael Vick.

If Les Miles goes to Michigan, he will be considered on of the biggest liars in sports history.

He's already said numerous times that he's staying at LSU -- do you not watch Sportscenter?
