Most of you Long Islanders have probably been there and most of you in the rest of New York and New Jersey have at least heard of the Boardy Barn in Hampton Bays. What probably few if any of you are aware of though is what a wonderful, generous man Tony Galgano, one of the owners has always been. He is without a doubt the most charitable person I have had the privilege to know. A GoFundMe page has been established to assist him now that it is his time of need; the challenge will be for him to accept the proceeds without feeling the need to pass them on to others who are also having problems. I'm not a LI guy, but, we used to go there for "Oswego night" every year during my college days. Everyone would get shit-faced in the parking lot before the place even opened. All the best to Tony.
Hung out in Hampton bays many, many times back in the day, but never could make it there. Everyone would go the next day , but that was too much for me. Still, a legendary place . Will contribute and I wish him well.
