    Tonight - Halladay vs Jobamania
    Wednesday - Litsch vs Mussina
    Thursday - McGowan vs Wang

Dan Giese is up and in uniform for tonight's game, I'm sure he'll come in for Joba, especially if he can't get through the 5th inning.

And yes, finally, Ensberg was DFA'd.

I really hope Joba does well but he isn't ready for this. His stretching out was one 2 inning stint. He may last 5 innings tonight unless he is really lucky with ground balls and pop outs. Then what? Ohlendorf? Major mistake here.

I'm pretty sure this is why they called Giese up. Giese = long man.

Joba has 65-70 pitches to work with. If he's doing well, that's good for five innings. Six innings if he's doing really well.

If he's not doing well, then it not likely to matter who will be replacing him anyway.

Besides, even if it is a mistake (it's not), I don't see how it could possibly be a "major" one.

I missed the top of the 1st, but I got in just in time to see the Yankees score. Joba looked good in the 2nd. Well, the die is cast, so let's go Joba!!!

Damn, only 2 1/3 for Joba. I don't know if it was the pitch count, the walks, or both. Gerardi had Joba on a short leash tonight. I didn't get home from work in time to see the top of the 1st, but I hear it wasn't pretty.

Joba has a straight fastball. Major Leaguers will chew him up the second time thru the line-up like swiss cheese. Girardi sensed that and could not wait to get him out of there.

62 pitches and i guess a guy was on third when he got taken out? im sure its not exactly what everyone had envisioned but it was the mans first start.

    really?

I saw his 4-seamer cutting away from righties a little bit, and the one 2-seamer i saw him throw moved so much that Molina missed it...

I must be delusional, you're right, my bad
