This list has plenty of names that have been mentioned as good fits for the Jets.

The most shocking for me is still Demontre Moore. Even before reading this article I was amazed on how a guy that was a top 3 selection in almost all mock drafts, has suddenly fell of the face of the earth. I still like the guy, and if what this site is saying that he might completely fall out of the first round, I think that he would be a complete steal in the second round.

Another guy is Gio Bernard. Before he was being mentioned as the #2 back of the draft. Now he hasn't fallen too much because I still hear his name from time to time, but if we get another 2nd from some type of trade, or if he's there at our 3rd, I think this would be another complete steal.

What do you guys think about this list of players falling?

I kind of disagree on Bernard and Mongomery, both of whom I see as mid 2nd round picks at this point.

I projected Bernard to the Jets on their 2nd a few months ago and a bunch of people called me on it, saying he wasn't going to be around at that pick. He's always been around on that pick unless somebody was going to reach above us. He's a good asset in a modern offense whether you run WCO or Spread. He's a play maker who can catch the ball and who has the ability to make tacklers miss. After Tavon Austin he's my favorite play maker in the draft.

Sam Montgomery is a two-time All-SEC 1st Team DE. He has been a much more polished and solid player than his more highly publicized team mate Barkevious Mingo. He's not the athlete that Mingo is but he's been a better player. He's probably going to go to a 4-3 team to play LDE and he'll prosper there. There's also a real chance that he winds up with the Steelers on a slow conversion process to OLB. That scenario happens if he drops to their 2nd round pick.

I would still be happy with Moore at around pick 20. If we could get him in the 2nd round, that would be amazing.

Agree with you on Bernard. He's been one of my favorites for a long time.... He's a perfect fit here and he has great instincts as a runner. If we can walk away with one of Lacy, Bernard or Franklin (assuming we dont trade for Ivory), I will be pretty damn happy.

Bernard does not surprise me, but if you look at the reason he is falling it's not a big surprise....Christine Michael stock is rising, as I have said all along, this guy CM will be the best RB coming out of this draft.

Moore on the other hand is a surprise, he produced against very tough competition, and he still gets no respect, I really think the Jets will take him at #9, and it will make for an excellent defensive front, Moore, Coples, Wilkerson.

Considering he very well could be there in the 2nd round, that would be a very poor decision.

Who do you think they should grab with the #9 pick?

Damontre Moore's draft stock reminds me of LaMarr Woodley's when he came out.

I agree with Bernard. I've liked him for a while and I do still remember those days when people would say that he wouldn't be there at 39. The reason I think that Bleacher Report says that he's dropping, is because people are now starting to talk more and more about Christine Michael and some other backs. Like you, I still like Bernard for this team. I think that Marty would make this kids role similar to McCoy's.

I would not mind at all getting Demontre Moore in the 20s if we were to trade back with the Vikings. Getting him in the second round would probably make me scream though.

Bjoern Werner's stock seems to have been falling fast - he was at one point one of the top DE prospects and now looks like being a 2nd rounder.

If the Jets get the two Vikings pick for #9, it would be amazing if they doubled up and got Werner and Moore. I remember just two months ago they were gone in the top 5.
The 13th could be used on Cooper or Warmack.
Hauling in Moore, Werner, and Warmack on day 1 would be great.
