Has anyone seen this guy play in NFL Europa? He has done pretty well so far. He went to Lafayette College, which is only a few miles from my house. Does anyone think he can make the team? He might be more of 4-3 LB, and might get pushed out since we already are loaded at LB, but you never know.
Does he play for the Rhein Fire?? If so, I saw him play last week and he made some nice one -on - one tackles. His teammate a DE (Strong) on Rhein that was also property of the Jets, had 2 sacks and good pressure in the half I watched....
Yeah, he?s doing pretty well over here, but the only way i can see him walk on the field in Green and White is as a special team specialist (he?s a great special teamer). He?s even smaler than Vilma. I can?t see him play LB with 6-0 227lbs. He?s just way to small for every LB postion in the 3-4. Here?s a nice read about him: I didn?t realise the jets have a DE over here!?! I thought the only players are: Frankfurt Galaxy Nr. 60 Matt McChesney , G,6-3, 325 Nr. 97 Zarnell Fitch, DT, 6-2, 325 Amsterdam Admirals Nr. 27 Jamie Thompson, S, 5-11, 190 D?sseldorf Rhein Fire: Nr. 45 Costanzo Blake, LB, 6-0, 227 You can watch the NFLE games here: http://admirals.sbs6.nl/default.asp...=22&clip=2795&live=1&videoFilename=admiralstv Blake is wearing #45 at Rhein Fire, he?s playing OLB.
I was going to make a thread on this also , hes doing very well. I do think that he is more of a 4-3 LB as well though , I can't see where he would fit in though. Zarnell Fitch is another name to watch out for. Jamie Thompson is doing a fine job too .... What's the point of sponsoring players in the Europe league if they don't have the size/frame/weight to ever play for the Jets? Apparantly someone in the Jet's org feels he may wear green and white some day.
Each NFL team has to allocate 6 players...however it does not guarantee they make a team. There is a allocated player draft. And BTW, The WFL folded in 1975
i actually went to high school with Costanzo. he was a year below me, graduated in 2002. to be honest, i never liked him. he was one of the biggest assholes in Ramapo. i distinctly remember this one time during lunch: i waited on a long line for food and he comes in and starts cutting people in the line, just moving bodies out of the way, and he's like, "watch out, State Champion, lemme in, State Champion." just your typical meathead douchebag extraordinare. he always reminded me of the bully from A Christmas Story -- "he had yellow eyes." having said that, all the kid knows is football, and that's exactly what Mangini wants. i can definitely see him fitting in here from the mental aspect. and if he helps us win, then he's okay by me. cheers
yeah, i agree. he may a completely different person now. as i mentioned, all he cared/s about is football, so in that regard, he'd fit well on this team playing for Mangini. and in those quotations, he said the right things. i was just alluding to an anecdote i remember vividly. cheers
