I wanted to know what you guys think of him..apparently he has shown recently that he can play in a 3-4 -he has a non stop motor, can get after the quaterback and is solid against the run... he was projected as a top ten pick a month or two ago and for some reason has fallen down a little...( it is always so weird come draft time how some people shoot up and some people fall for no real reason)

Anyway he is like 6-4 275 has a great motor can pass rush and play the run and still has a lot of upside --what do you guys think?? watch the tape if unfamiliar

Reasons people seem to shoot up and down is that most sites do an early season list and really on adjust much after the combine. This time of year with the combine, east west/ Senior Bowl games, and pro day workouts writers get more time with scouts to see how they really feel about a prospect. They also get to see the lists of who has gone where for a workout.

I like Warner's motor, but he is not a top end athlete at the position. Good powering hands, but not great closing speed. He may be able to play OLB, but I don't see him as a top ten guy at this point.

Warner is a better fit as 4-3 DE.

The kid has a great motor and uses his hands very well to disengage thats key to being a decent player at the next level. He compiled over 20 sacks and 30 TFL in 2 seasons so he is a constant pressure. I would t be opposed to him being a Jet. We need more players like Werner who may not be the best athlete but work their tails off to become the best. Between Jordan, Werner, Ansah, Warmack, Patterson for the first round id be happy.

I like Werner and despite his speed, would love to see him stand up in a 3-4. Please note he could also play end in sub-packages with Barnes outside.

OK well I know how people shoot up cause of their numbers in the combine and so on. I also think people say not to get to concerned with 40 times and combine results but then everyone kind of does and changes their mocks and boards. I know that sometimes it does work like with JPP but I can thin

that being said a guy like Werner is a perfect size for a 3-4 OLB and has a great motor with sound fundamentals and for the last month I haven't heard his name being mention once---if we do trade back and grab him I would be all for it--

On the NYJ website today they had a Q&A with Barnes and then talked to this other guy about the draft and he mostly put on the board Jones, Jordan or Warmack, Cooper and maybe Austin---that was it...I am not sure if that exactly what Idsik would do but he has to work with him... He didn't care about Jones combine and workouts but loved his tape and production--they also didn't like Mingo

Anyway I think a guy like Werner would work if we traded back or something--I bet he will be good for someone at the next level

I'm curious as to why he has fallen in most people's mocks? Was his combine that terrible? Pre combine most people had him as a top 5 pick now he is in the late teens. I don't think he fits with the Jets and we have other options at 9 but I'm not sure why his stock has taken a hit.

He's not at Anywhere near the top of my board for the 9th pick. I'd take him in the 2nd round if he falls that far

He doesn't fit the Jets mold, he's better suited for the 4-3.

No way he makes it to round 2.

He should be a top 15 pick, IMO. Clearly ahead of Mingo. However, he doesn't really fit Rex's D.
