When the Buffalo Bills hit the field again, they will do it in new uniforms. The team announced Wednesday it will introduce redesigned duds for the 2011 season. The Bills' last uniform overhaul occurred in 2002. The team did not give details on the new look other than to say the charging buffalo logo will be kept. "The new uniforms will incorporate the team's storied history while keeping the team's signature charging buffalo logo," the team announced in a release. The uniforms will be a new design, not a copy of the throwback uniforms that the team has worn occasionally in recent seasons. The Bills unveiled their home blue throwbacks in the 2005 season. They wore a white throwback-style road uniform three times in 2009 as part of the 50th anniversary celebration of the founding of the American Football League. The Bills said the new uniforms would be unveiled at a fan appreciation event later this year. The Bills' current road uniforms, with blue on the shoulders, never have been especially popular with a lot of fans. Bills running back Fred Jackson, for one, was excited about the change. "Already peeped new unis! Pretty sure everybody will like em!!" Jackson said via Twitter. "I was sworn to secrecy not to reveal any details! Haha!?I'll jus say this!! I can't wait to wear em!!"
Taste is subjective but several teams have gone with the "arena league" look which I detest. I love the classic look of the jets, colts, etc
agreed.. cant stand the denvers and atlantas of the world. i hope they are more like the throwbacks granted they wont be the throwbacks but i hope they are like them. the jets really do have a great uniform and i dont look forward to them changing it.
They have to do something to get people to buy a Bills jersey. They should make it reversible with a Jets jerseys on the other side.
There was big sale on a sports apparel site recently (can't remember which one - maybe Dick's?) and there were ~15 jerseys for 80% off. Literally, every single one was from the Bills - Posluzny, Marshawn Lynch, etc.
The Broncos supposedly will go back to using orange as their primary color. That may happen as early as the 2011 season. They'll have the same uniform but the orange ones will be the primary jersey and the blue ones will be the alternates. Then, in 2012, they may completely overhaul their uniforms. If that is the case, I hope they go back to a more traditional looking uniform.
Good. The Broncos and Bills had good uniforms, and went to shit with change. Both their throwbacks are twice as good as the crap they don on Sundays now. Outside of maybe Tampa Bay, i can't think of any teams that changed uniforms for the better. Just stick to the tradition..
While I will agree the current Bills unis are horrendous, they are not worse than Seattle's day glow digs.
