Pennington playing as good as he did is a pretty big surprise.

carolina is a little overrated, delhomme throws some bad eli manning-esque passes, and they are too (steve smith) much of a one trick pony

my biggest surprise/dissappoint was how bad new england played against buffalo...maybe the AFC east race is wide open after all? definatly a pleasant surprise

How about Seattle not being able to score a TD against the Lions and winning by just 3.

Detroit hanging with the Seahawks was the biggest surprise I'd say. A game decided by field goals? Come on....I could see the Lions kicking on FGs, but not the 'Hawks

Dallas made a mistake by using Tony Romo as the backup this year and than again by not drafting a young QB. That'll be a top priority for them next offseason.
