yeah i have to agree. enough of the assistant coaches getting their first shot bullshit. enough of the swapping players/coaches with new england bullshit. bring in a proven head coach with super bowl experience. the last time we did this with parcells we were a legit team that got stronger down the stretch cause he knew how to motivate his players.

I think there's a very real chance that Mangini loses his job if we lose on Sunday. Especially if we lose the way we've been playing for a month.

I would. I don't like the Jets colors or uniforms. I don't like the team name- New York or Jets. I don't like them sharing a stadium with the Giants. I don't like them playing on FieldTurf. I don't like the coaching staff. I don't like the GM. Aside from a handful of players, there is not much I like about this franchise.

I'm with you. I'm going to speculate here. I believe that Woody, Tanenbaum and Mangini had discussions last off season where Woody expressed the need to win to "sell" the team for his new stadium. Man & Tan convinced Woody that without the horses they could not win. So Woody basically gave them a blank check and put his trust in them. No one that isn't serious about winning would write that blank check. Regardless of the motivation there is no question in my mind that Woody wants this team to win and he's willing to do whatever it takes to make that happen. Now after putting his trust in these guys and writing that blank check if he sees his team not make the playoffs and hears all the negative things being discussed in the media and by fans you better believe he's going to have steam coming out his nose and ears. He may be willing to write one more blank check to the man with the chin.

The entire pro football industry has been gearing toward that anyway, it's not like Woody is a pioneer with this. Hell, the entire sports marketing industry has been going that way. So goes capitalism. There are baseball teams with like 5 alternate jerseys they can wear in a game, it's smart merchandising. Woody looks at this as a business, and he's going to do what his advisors tell him to. I think you should know that already.
Not if you do it gradually. Like, say, introduce 5 alternate jerseys and see which one sells the most... then going with that one.
I saying he will do it next year as you have to give the NFL 1 year to change unis & then as an example we will be yellow & red or white & orange or black & purple. That way us fans who want to have pay for all new gear & the royalities from that will pay back Woody for one Bill Cowher
