Interesting. If the Giants go 8-8 again, Coughlin's job might be up for grabs which could put Ryan and Cowher in the same city. Possibly even Dick LeBeau if the Steelers let him leave. Best defensive city in the League?

This really upsets me as a fan, how can a guy start lobbying for a HC position that is currently occupied by a guy who is a good coach in his own right?

Very disrespectful!! I hope the chin fails miserably with the Giants if he does manage to get TC fired.

Are you really surprised to learn that Bill Cowher is a prick?

Cowher will be getting the gig.

The Giants just hired Perry Fewell.

I can just picture Eli Manning's chest covered in spittle after it has had a close encounter with the chin after throwing a pick. Damn, I hope this is true, would make watching Giants football palatable on the days when the Jets aren't scheduled. This would be like the terrorist nipple bump of the NFL...

Uh, did you read it? I haven't seen Cowher lobbying for it. This is all Bettis right here. If I'm Cowher, I'm pissed off that the Bus decided to open his mouth.

Cmon now people. You really think that Bettis told the media without the nod and wink from Cowher? Yall are more intelligent than that. It's like others have said, this is disrespectful lobbying while a superbowl winning coach still has the job.

    Poor form Cowher. Poor form.

I hate the Steelers and Cowher alot! That said, this is Jerome bettis speaking and not Bill Cowher. Bettis speaks out of turn to often about other people's intentions. Cowher is a class act and would never lobby for someone else's job. Unlike Shanahan he wouldn't talk to the Redskins while a head coach was still in place.

If anything, Bill would probably love the Carolina gig if Fox moves on to greener pastures when his contract runs out because it would keep him close to his family.
