ok, heres the best situation for the jets next year, we re-sign chad, hopefully he wont get hurt again. I hope Curtis Martin will have a rebound year. We keep Abe, and we still have stars like vilma and barton. For the first round pick, screw cutler, take D'brick! THEN in the second round we shud get a QB like Brodie Croyle or Charles Whitehurst just for insurance to pennington. maybe we can make the playoffs with mangini........... but the most important part.............lets kick the shit out of the bills!
Why the hate for the Bills? They are the laughing stocks of the league now with Dick Jauron as their new HC.
yea i hate the fins to, also the patriots, but mostly the bills, and the bills fanz cause they always think there team owns!
So basically go into next year in the same situation as last year? Except we add one OL rookie, replace Fiedler with a rookie, lose Law, lose two veteran OL, and lose our FB....yeah that has success written all over it! (sarcasm)
Actually, signing Marv Levy out from the assisted living home he was residing in and bringing him back made them even more of a laughing stock than signing Jauron.
The Jets in full gutting the team / rebuilding mode are still better than anything the Bills do under Jauron. They thought they were screwed with Mularkey, they have no idea what they are in for next!
yea so i guess ur not enthusiastic?? are u even a jets fan? y dont u just go to pittsburg and be a fan there just like all the other bang wagon jerks
Whoa there buddy... Of course I am a Jets fan, and I would like nothing more than the Jets to be successful next season. I am just trying to be realistic here, and I just do not see them as a playoff team next year. We are rebuilding, and we have to look to 2-3 years from now, not next season. no harm intended...
It would be cheaper to rework his contract to an incentive laden deal rather than cut him outright. Whether Chad is actually in the plan for the future or not, getting him to rework his contract would be immensely better than having to release him and taking the cap hit all at once. We wouldn't save much by releasing him, but we can save by reworking his deal. I think Chad is done after those injuries, but the smart move is reworking that deal.
Agreed, the smart move would be to restructure Chad's contract and give him a chance to prove he can still compete. Then, we use our #4 pick on the best remaining QB and groom him behind Chad. If Chad goes down again, Bollinger can step in until our rookie QB is ready.
nad we shud get a qb in round 2 or 3..................we need d'brick with round 1 if chad wants a chance
