Found this mock draft on a draft forum. They screwed up round four as our pick went to the Saints. Also I think the second fourth rounder (the cornerback) makes a lot more sense for us. Looks like the Eagles give us their second rounder to move up for Oher.

Jets picks (with the CB in round four instead of the other guy, too small for 3-4 LB):

    28. NYJ f/Eagles (f/Panthers): Kenny Britt WR
    52. Jets: Louis Delmas S
    53. NYJ f/Eagles: Evander Hood DE
    76. Jets (f/Saints): Rhett Bomar QB
    117. Jets: Cary Harris CB

    Two pre-draft trades:
Cardinals trade Anquan Boldin to Dolphins for first round pick.
Patriots trade Matt Cassel to Vikings for first round pick.

I don't like mocks with lots of crazy trades in them. Nobody can predict stuff like that. But given us picking at 28 we'd surely take Laurinaitis. He'd be the highest value at that point and an obvious need for us at ILB.

Also I can't see the Jets taking yet ANOTHER developmental QB. We already have 3 on the roster now. Where's room for another one ?

All in all not a very realistic mock.

The Jets seem to specialize in crazy trades in the actual draft so a draft day trade where the Eagles could move up for Oher is realistic. Unfortunately Oher dropping to # 17 is unlikely.

Oher does have some character issues. And there are at least 3 other very highly ranked OT that should also go in the first round this year (from Baylor, Alabama and Virginia). So it could happen. Eight teams took OT last year in the first round so demand might not be so high.

I agree that mock drafts that include multiple mid-level trades are ridiculous. The only trades that mock drafts should include are trades where a team is moving up to get "the stud player" at a respective position and that player must fill a glaring need for the team moving up.

With that said. I would not be surprised at all if Oakland moves up to #1 to take Michael Crabtree. They have the QB, the RB...now they need the WR.

The Lions need draft picks. One player at #1 whomever it is will not help. If they move down to # 7 and get Oaklands # 2 & #4 this year and #2 next year they, IMO, miust make that trade....

Yes, the Raiders need more players also, but the Raiders, being the Raiders can go get free agents to play there. They are not that far away as the Lions, Rams, Chiefs, etc... and letting Russell, Crabtree and McFadden play together and for chemistry over the next two years is only a win, win in the long run.

So that why you don't like it?

If we got Britt, Delmas, and Hood with out first 3 picks I'd be pretty damn happy, but accurately projecting trades in the draft is damn near impossible.

I'm also not sure why everyone here wants Laurinaitis, have you guys ever seen him play? He'd be terrible in the 3-4

That trade is infinitely more ridiculous than the eagles moving up for Oher.

Neither was Jerod Mayo this time last year and he ended up going in the top 10.

A smart, tough guy to anchor ILB with Harris. Laurinaitis would be a team leader and solid player for years.

I want Maualuga or Tyson Jackson with that pick. We need to be strong someplace and it will probably be defense

First of all if we have that pick I would rather go with someone like William Moore or even Pierra Jerry
