    What's up guys,

Usually when the Jets have an away game, I just watch at home but I'm meeting a really close old friend of mine in NYC tomorrow and, of course, I need to see the game.

Where are the best places to watch the Jets game in NYC? It would be awesome to cheer with other Jets fans.

There really aren't any strictly Jets bars but it's NY - you'll find plenty of Jets fans at any bar. I happen to like the sports bars on the Upper West Side. Find a bar called Time Out and there are like 6 other sports bars in a 5 block radius.

Any bar in Manhattan will have loads of Jets fans in them, but watch out of the Upper East Side and Upper West Sides... a lot of Patriot fanfags live in those neighborhoods.

I posted a similar question last season and got pretty much the same response. I realize that NY is probably the most diverse city in the country with football fans from all over the place, but it still surprises me that there aren't any hardcore spots here for Jets fans. Sure it's easy enough to go to any bar and find a TV with the game on, and probably a few fellow Jet fans, but it sure would be nice if there were a place to go where you'd be guaranteed to be surrounded by others in green and white.

I watched the Jets @ Pats game last year at a bar on the westside in midtown and there were nearly as many Pats fans as there were Jets fans - it was disgusting.

I bet you were at blondies west side. I had an awful time there when the jets played the pats in the playoffs. Place was full of massholes and every bartender wore a pats jersey.

As for jet bars, good sports bars near Penn station are Stout on 33rd and there's another sports bar next to it.Go up 2nd or 3rd ave in midtown, lots of bars there that are more Jet friendly as well.Don't bother with anyplace that caters to massholes, walk right out the door.

It was actually Mercury Bar and there were fans from all over the damn place. The bartenders had shirts for all different teams - one guy I remember was wearing a Steelers shirt. It just didn't feel like a hometown crowd at all. I'll be at a bar in Brooklyn watching the game today. Not sure where yet but I only hope that there are some other Jet fans there.
