OK, he's gotta rework his salary, but I believe Robertson will open everyone's eyes lining up at end next to Jenkins.

Am I the only one who believes that?

Either way, they don't and he's gone one way or another. We do need to draft a DE though

He's too expensive to hang on to and i don't see him reworking his contract to do so. The intertubes are reporting it's a done deal with the broncos.

I'd be fine keeping him as part of the DL rotation but the salary would have to reflect his status as a part timer. I find it highly unlikely they can work that out with him though, so he has gots to go.

Well you said it in your original post. He's just way too much money. It's not that he isn't a good player but 11m against the cap is insane. For that reason alone this thread is unfortunately a moot point because he will not restructure.

He doesn't have the physical attributes to play in a 3-4 as a DE.

not only that but he was not a force in our 4-3. He's parlayed a great workout into a huge contract from Boobway--DRob never will be in the pro bowl, he's was just a huge reach by a GM who was trying to make a splash after screwing up Coles, Thomas, Morton and Hall (jetskins 2003).

No way he would be willing to restructure to stay as a part time player in a system that doesn't suit his skills when he can work out a new deal with Denver to probably start.

No, he is garbage in this system and he has a bum knee.

See ya DRob...What a bust you were

  11. Permitting he restructures his deal and moves to DE...id like to see him stay. I'm still concerned w/ the current personell at our DE spots.

How is he going to play DE in a 3-4 when he couldn't even do it in a 4-3? I'm concerned about our DEs too but Robertson certainly isn't the answer.

He has no reason to restructure and his knee is going to be a problem. I don't disagree that it's likely he's out of football in two years. I'd ratehr get something now and clear the cap space than continue with him on roster.

bingo Hes is way to stocky and gets pushed back to much to be a succsessful 3-4 de Ut really dont have a place in the 3-4 unless they are stout and long ala Balmer.

    Goodbye Dslob and good riddance.

cause nobody who wasnt prototypical at their position has ever been successful in the nfl.

i agree with kurt and the others who feel he would be of value at de, i dont think it will in a million years happen but he could be of value at the right price.

This isn't about being "prototypical" to be successful. You need height and length to be a 3-4 DE. D-Rob has neither. His body is shaped like a turtle. Thats fine for a 4-3 3T who's only job is to beat a single OG. If a OT got his hands inside D-Rob wouldn't even be able to reach the guys chest. And forget about knocking down any passes. Just a horrible fit.

Never, that's my point. Don't you think he would have been more valuable to Edwards as a DE if he could have played the position after Abraham was traded?
