    from Adam Schefter's twitter

"Cuts coming. Players on bubble include: Jamal Lewis, Deion Branch, Ben Watson, Jeff Garcia, Matt Bryant, Brian Williams, Michael Bennett."

I know we just signed Hartstock but has Ben Watson fallen that much that he may be cut? The great Chris Baker = the next Antonio Gates, LOL!!

I'm surprised Jeff Garcia is on the bubble? Seriously? I guess the Raiduhs don't wanna win. By win, of course, I mean go...at best...6-10. Which would be an accomplishment.

Watson wasn't that great. Like I said, when they finally cut him, it'll just be further evidence that the Pats have been pretty shitty at drafting players in recent years.

I'd definitely consider bringing Watson aboard. I wonder why he's in the doghouse...

    +1

I was thinking the exact same thing. That organization is fucking bizarre.

He's not that great. His blocking is decent, his pass catching is mediocre at best. He'll make a good catch, and then drop the next two and so on.

He's a few notches below the level of Chris Baker.

I think Watson would be a "whatever" addition. I always remember him for chasing down that DB when Brady was intercepted and it would have been ran back for a TD if it wasn't for Watson. Can't remember the team or the DB, but Watson came out of nowhere and drilled the guy out of bounds. 110 percent effort. Keller can catch better, and Harstock can block better, so I don't see much of an improvement.

Watson would be a nice addition.

and if we can turn Bryant into a punter, we have decent special teams yet again.

It was against the Broncos in the playoffs and I believe it was Champ Bailey who picked it off. It was definitley the Broncos but I may be wrong about it being Bailey.

I would love it if we could bring in Ben Watson, he's an OK blocker and an OK receiver but our TE depth would be very good if he was on the team

Keller will be our guy...I'd rather have a WR than Watson here.

I defintely wouldn't be against bringing him in. I have a burning image of him chancing Champ Bailey down the sideline Vs Broncos in that playoff game

Watson is an above average TE when he can stay healthy. He seems to be in and out of the lineup with this nagging injury or that all the time.

I think he's staying in NE though. The thinking right now after Walter got dumped that Alex Smith will wind up in Philly for AJ Feely.

Watson would be a great backup TE. Deion Branch would be a great pickup as well.

I doubt the Pats cut Watson, but he could fit in nicely on our TE unit. Hartsock is a very solid blocker, Keller is the killer receiving threat, Watson would be somewhere in the middle. Having him and Keller lined up in a 2 TE set with 2 wideouts would be very, very difficult to defend. That's just a lot of speed coming from 2 TEs. But he'll be a Pat, just because I started liking the idea of Watson on the Jets.
