Heard the tail-end of a pre-draft interview with Belichick on local radio an hour or so ago. Not a bad listen. He mentioned that he wasn't keen on the big gap (60+ slots) between his second first-round pick and his third-round pick. He also said that they've been extending their usual pre-draft feelers and the common theme of this draft is that everyone seems to want to move down. Mentioned how they (presumably, he and Pioli) were discussing this morning how this is one year where the standard draft value chart won't really apply as well, since people will be construing value differently. What little I heard I thought was interesting.
Surprise surprise...it's well known nobody wants to be in the first round after #17. All your doing is paying first round money for second round talent.
Sounds very interesting. A trade down from the first round to the second would be standard Pats MO at this point. The thing that always strikes me about Belichik when I hear him interviewed is how smart he is and how hard he tries to conceal that.
