    A lot of people like Lofton in the 2nd because he seems like he'd be a great fit next to Harris in the 3-4. I agree with that, but I think that if we can use the 2nd to address another position, it might be a better idea to use a 4th-rounder on one of these 2 ILBs, if they fall (I think Goff has a better chance of doing so). I think both of them are starting-caliber ILBs and would be good value in the 4th. I wanted to get some opinions on Bell & Goff and how they would fit in the 3-4. They are both around the same size as Lofton, which is why I think they could both play the 3-4:

    Lofton = 6-0, 246 lbs
    Bell = 6-1, 244 lbs
    Goff = 6-2, 245 lbs

    Thoughts?

    My favorite late round guy is Jameel McClain.

    Another guy that I like is William Thomas from USC. He's got good size and he's very physical...NFL.com has him listed as 225 at his Pro Day, but he plays much bigger than that.

    I like Beau Bell better than Goff, but unfortunately he will be gone by round 4, Goff will still be there, hell i almost like Bell better than Lofton

    Goff is my guy. He can shed blockers better than any other LB in the draft and he is very strong. Showed at the combine that he is very athletic as well so he should have the ability to drop back into coverage. I think Goff is the best LB prospect for the 3-4 in this draft.

    Ive been looking at the LB's I was thinking I like Shawn Crable from Michigan as a possible ILB I know hes always played OLB but he is big 6'5 245 pretty fast ran a 4.6 at the combine and benched 29 times so is pretty strong. I didnt watch any games besides the App State game last year for Michigan and he didnt play much in that one. Would he be able to make the switch?

    Crable would be an OLB in a 3-4...I really like him for us actually...Michigan guy...high motor...strong...and IMO he's behind only Groves at getting into the backfield and causing trouble. He uses his length very well to cause fumbles, get sacks, and at least cause the RB to change direction.

    I'm actually surprised at how little he's talked about.

    I was very high on him before the combine, but was very dissapointed, when he showed up at only 241 lbs at 6?5 i hoped for something about 255-260. I also thought he was very inconsitent in the LB drills. I think he definitly has to put up about 15lbs to be sucessfull in the NFL, and with him already struggeling from time to time in the LB drills, that might be too much for him, to still move well. I still like him (as a project), but i think he our 2nd is way to high for him, and he won?t last till the 4th.

    I wouldn't mind any of those three, but the one good thing about ILB is that is not a position you need to spend a high pick on. A lot of the great ILB in this league were picked up in the 3rd round and onwards.

    I see Barton playing MLB for us this year and possibly next year. Inside linebacker in the 3-4 is usually easier to fill in free agency then the draft. It's a very difficult position to learn to play. Harris is the exception not the rule.

    Eh...weight gets overrated sometimes...241 isn't bad for his length, frame, and strength...plus it's 245.

    You're right, he's a project but he's a guy who can make an impact immediately as a pass rusher IMO. He's very similar to Bowens but he's got the upside and age on his side to become a more complete player than Bowens.
