I've read several reports saying Ryan Fitzpatrick is still struggling to drive the ball after he broke his leg last year. That being the case, beat writers were completely misleading us when they kicked up a stink about how wrong it was for the Jets to hand Geno the starting role without making him compete for it. If Fitz still can't get any velocity on the ball as we enter pre-season, it seems pretty obvious that in truth there actually wasn't anybody for him to compete with.
