I played the alpha of this and it's pretty legit. You can go prone unlike the BF Bad Company series, everything is destructible, the laser pointers and flashlights blind enemies in low light conditions, and their are tons of vehicles, but only tanks where available during alpha. The only thing I didn't like was the spotting system which is basically like having x-ray vision. All you had to do was spam that button while aiming down the sights everywhere and you could spot the entire enemy team, but this was in alpha so they will probably balance it for retail. If not there is always hardcore mode that gets rid of it.
If I would've have just seen the video of the gameplay I would have guessed it was Modern Warfare. Looks just like it. I was planning on going with Battlefield this year just because I heard that it is supposed to surpass the COD series. Haven't looked to much into yet but I always get one war game a year.
