Mauga was out there an awful lot playing in Scott's position yesterday. Was Scott hurt? Benched for performance reasons?

Scott was getting run past the whole game, like the previous week. Another guy the whole site is in love with who isn't half as great as some of ya think. He was very good the first game. Since then, he looks slow.

lazy to look up his name but the guy that came into replace him played great in the PS and is a fast LB. Also cant wait to see how he does next week against guys like Welker on 3rd downs.

Something is wrong, he is probably injured. However, he is not over-rated by homers on this board. When healthy he is that good.

Maybe you were giving head to someone with your eyes closed when he was making plays.

Lately Bart Scott is beginning to remind me of Mo Lewis in his later years..

The people who think Bart Scott is overrated are people who quite simply do not understand how this defense operates. Did he miss a few plays against elite RB's like McFadden and Rice the past 2 games? Yes. Does that mean he sucks? No.

So, you recommend paying vets with diminishing skill sets to remain on the team based on their past performance. A guy like Bart Scott, however, who has been dominant for three years, is suddenly garbage because of two bad games? You don't even require an explanation. He's not even half as good as people think he is!

Do you actually believe half of what you type? I hope to God it's just trolling.

I think Scott is overrated. I'm not saying cut him.

I'm just curious Ignatius,,, was it really gonna break them to not cut Woody? That's really all i'm saying.

haha you know I was just thinking that.. in one thread he complains that we cut veterans who were past their prime, yet with Bart Scott it seems he can't wait to get rid of him. The guy who arguably is more of a leader and a bigger part of the team than T-Rich, Woody, or any of the guys we cut. Ridiculous.

Exactly. And then you have people respond to this by saying we don't understand what the defense is doing and what he's bringing to it... This is what it is.. He's slow,,, he can't cover anyone. He's not a great tackler anymore, guys bounce off him left and right. Now yes, does he create tackles for Harris>? Yes. Is he valuable cause he knows Rex's d inside out,,, yes. But the other stuff can't be ignored, just cause the guy yelled out can't wait after beating NE and proceeded that comment by bouncing off Mendenhall a couple dozen times the next week...... Case closed.
