I got this off NFLShop.com. Is Bart Scott going to wear #0, or is that just what they're using until his number is official? The reason I ask is because it doesn't say anything otherwise. http://www.nflshop.com/product/inde...lse&num_buckets=1&pageNum=1&parentPage=family
it does say: Disclaimer: The player's number is subject to change and the jersey will not ship until the official number is issued
It's actually an O. The NFL is switching to letter combinations. Little known fact. In other news, is there something wrong with my spelling of combinations? It recognizes combination as a word but not the plural? Weird.
Well I'm now going to use combinati any time I use the word, so hopefully people read this thread and have some clue what I'm talking about.
No NFL player can wear #0. I wish players could still wear #00, but the NFL does not allow it anymore.
lol....don't feel bad man, I did the same thing when I saw T.O.'s jersey was number 1. I asked my buddy about it and I paid for it.
I mean if you are going to bump old threads, you should find some of hobbes man-love threads for Matt Jones.
I believe this is the news article that you are referring to: New York, NY. - The NFL has announced that players meeting certain eligibility requirements may use letters in addition to numbers on their jersey. A league insider, who spoke anonymously since he was not allowed to speak on the matter, said that this was an attempt to increase the marketability of jerseys in the downturned economy. One GM said that he was involved with the negotiations and it was an attempt to directly pacify Terrel Owens who will now be wearing "T.O." on his jersey. Ocho Cinco was not immediately available for comment, although sources close to him say that he will immediately submit a request to the league for "O.C." Other players that have requested alternate numbering include Bart Scott of the Jets who simply wanted "O" on his jersey and Jay Cutler who requested "WAH"
