It's gearing up to be a weird season.

I'm waiting for the announcement that the Jets' home attendance will just be Fireman Ed.

The Dolphins should have an edge this season, they're used to playing in an empty stadium.

Half a league, half a league,
    Half a league onward,
All in the valley of Death
    Rode the six hundred.
    "Forward, the Light Brigade!
Charge for the guns!" he said:
    Into the valley of Death
    Rode the six hundred.

    "Forward, the Light Brigade!"
    Was there a man dismay’d?
    Not tho’ the soldier knew
    Some one had blunder’d:
    Theirs not to make reply,
    Theirs not to reason why,
Theirs but to do and die:
    Into the valley of Death
    Rode the six hundred.

    Cannon to right of them,
    Cannon to left of them,
    Cannon in front of them
    Volley’d and thunder’d;
Storm’d at with shot and shell,
    Boldly they rode and well,
    Into the jaws of Death,
    Into the mouth of Hell
    Rode the six hundred.

    Flash’d all their sabres bare,
Flash’d as they turn’d in air
    Sabring the gunners there,
    Charging an army, while
    All the world wonder’d:
    Plunged in the battery-smoke
    Right thro’ the line they broke;
    Cossack and Russian
    Reel’d from the sabre-stroke
    Shatter’d and sunder’d.
Then they rode back, but not
    Not the six hundred.

    Cannon to right of them,
    Cannon to left of them,
    Cannon behind them
    Volley’d and thunder’d;
Storm’d at with shot and shell,
    While horse and hero fell,
They that had fought so well
Came thro’ the jaws of Death,
Back from the mouth of Hell,
All that was left of them,
    Left of six hundred.

    When can their glory fade?
O the wild charge they made!
    All the world wonder’d.
    Honor the charge they made!
    Honor the Light Brigade,
    Noble six hundred!

This is why America dwarfs the rest of the world in new cases per capita. Sporting events this year shouldn't have any fans there across the board. Shit, other sports in America are still seeing players getting sick despite not allowing fan interaction.

Formula 1 just got done having two race weekends back to back. No fans where they usually let them interact and be near drivers and garages. And not a single staff member got sick from two weekends of racing, car building, etc.

Didn't Florida recently open up Disney World? Look at how many people are getting sick every day there. The rest of the country should look at what NY/NJ have done. It seems the NY Metro area has a pretty good handle on the virus right now. Florida, Texas, and California recently shut down again tells me fans at games would be crazy. That is assuming the NFL,MLB,NHL,NBA can even get through having a season.

Personally, I feel NY and NJ didn't do enough. It took us about 3 months to get numbers down to sustainable levels. We should have given everyone a week to get their shit in order, then closed down EVERYTHING except hospitals and emergency services for 2-3 weeks. We would have been fully open by the end of April. Now we still have these half-assed openings and we are dragging along a partially closed economy for way longer than we should have. But politicians would NEVER risk shutting down the economy for 2 weeks because of how bad that'd look for the polls even though a 4 month and going partial economy shutdown is WAY worse.
