8-game winning streak, but the Yankees took 2/3 at Fenway, so all is still well. Boston has to battle Los Angeles, and the Rays face Burnett-Halladay.

Monday - Jeremy Guthrie vs. Mike Mussina 7:05
Tuesday - Daniel Cabrera vs. Darrell Rasner 7:05
Wednesday - Brian Burres vs. Joba Chamberlain 1:05

I just got a call informing me that someone I know has an extra ticket. Sounds like I'm going!

Posada having season ending surgery. Nady won't be enough now. This might get interesting.

Posada should have the surgery. Had he opt not to then he'd miss at least a couple months of the beginning of next season...

Sucks to lose him, but it has to be done since the commitment to him is pretty big, still 3 years on the deal.

Rosenthal says Teixeira is definitely on the block and I read earlier today where one writer thought the Yankees would be a major player in that if Posada went under the knife. I would not be at all surprised if that isn't why the decision waqs made today. They have their eye on some other bat right now.

I'd love him solely because I hope the Yanks don't bring back Giambi...

Acquire Tiex then buy-out Giambi for $5 million and get younger in the process?

That being said, I doubt Atlanta would command anything less than a major prospect(s)

I say get Tiex in the offseason if the team he goes to hopefully cannot keep him.

Great job by Nady and Jeter on the relay.

What a play by Roberts though in the bottom half of the inning robbing Jeter of a hit.

They can give up Kennedy for him as long as they believe they can re-sign him.

I think everyone knows where I stand on Teixeira, considering I've been pining for him for years now.

I saw on Sportscenter earlier that the players are: NYY, Boston, Arizona, and the Rays. Obviously, if he winds up in the AL East we need to be that team. Otherwise he's probably around to kill us for years. I think if we lose him to Arizona we stand a legit chance to get him in FA. The possibility is there if he goes to Tampa, but that's risky.
    ----------------

WTF with the Orioles? Did this team get too high on itself?

Well, the Rays are losing too. Hopefully that hols up but this should have been a golden opportunity for us over these 3 games with Boston playing the Angels and TB playing Toronto.

Well since the Yanks decided to get blasted tonight...

So did Dice-Fag, 6 ER as ANA leads 6-2.

Jays lead the Rays 2-1 Bottom 7th.
