We played the Broncos early in the season when they were apparently still adjusting to the new regime, but they're looking a lot better now. And Russell Wilson's last 5 years now look like this:

    2019: 66.1% Pct, 4110 Yds, 31 TD, 5 Int, 106.3 Rating
    2020: 68.8% Pct, 4212 Yds, 40 TD, 13 Int, 105.1 Rating
    2021: 64.8% Pct, 3113 Yds, 25 TD, 6 Int, 103.1 Rating
    2022: 60.5% Pct, 3524 Yds, 16 TD, 11 Int, 84.4 Rating
    2023 (17-game pace): 67.9% Pct, 3411 Yds, 34 TD, 8 Int, 104.0 Rating

Seems like Hackett really was the problem in Denver. Don't get me wrong, Zach's been awful too and has no business starting games (even Russell's disastrous 2022 was light years better than anything Zach's ever done), but Hackett is making things even worse and has no business being an OC.

I wonder if the Jets ever hesitated and thought to themselves.... "but he didn't really let Russ cook"

100% spot on. Now we know why Rodgers got so pissed off. His favorite OC was being exposed as a fraud. Example A: The worst, most pedestrian, offense in recent years. Example B: The refusal or inability of the "HC" to make a change w/o permission.

This is what happens when you bend over backwards to accommodate ONE player.

He made Russell Wilson, an awesome proven talent, look so bad. How did the Jets allow this to happen.

JD's Rodgers gambit being played all the way to the bitter end. Hackett is bulletproof because Rodgers is his buddy.

Why HOF Qbs keep fucking the Jets with OCs? First Manning with Gase and now Arog.

I like how the Jets did all these things including Hackett like Rodgers was a free agent.

It was the most Jetsy move in the world to hire Hackett too. A guy who was fired 15 games into his tenure with tons of bad press about what a mess the franchise was. And he kamikazi’d a Hall of Fame coach. The kamikaze started in the first game too attempting a mile long field goal instead of Russ trying to get more yards.

by the way the Bills fired their offensive coordinator today

too funny that the Bills and Jets will play sunday and the team averaging 27 points per game is the one who fired their offensive coordinator and not the team that hasn't had a real touchdown drive in over a month

Agreed and I think the terrible red zone stats are because of Hackett.

Our RedZone was better the last two years and that was without Hall.

I think a lot of is just the philosophy. I think Hackett is scared of taking shots at the end zone because he wants to at least get points but when you settle for fgs it doesn't add up. I'd rather a TD and int than two fgs.

I also don't think Wilson will throw as many picks as think in the end zone.

Why would I need to point that out? We have you here to do that.

I wanted to keep LaFleur and thought he did a decent job.
