so there has been a lot of discussion on having a veteran qb come here to push mark a little bit harder and possibly step in if need be...so last night i was thinking a healthy McNabb who will take vets min. a great guy to have in your locker room and someone who can push Sanchez a little harder than Brunell...Im not saying this guy is a savor or that he could step up and be something great, but he can teach mark a lot about leadership and how to take a locker room under control. Nothing against Brunell but he was never a leader and he never accomplished much...McNabb on the other hand has had some great experience that he is ready to pass on...He knows he cant be a starter anymore, but he can be a solid fill in player and a great game manager. Not to mention i think McNabb didnt really get put into great situations in Wash and Minn. he had nothing surrounding him. Anyway what do you guys think as a cheap back up?

I dont think it would be a good idea.

I have never heard McNabb described as being a good locker room influence, quite the opposite in fact.

Shaun Hill or Jason Campbell would be much better options. I would rather have Josh McCown or Josh Johnson in as back-ups that McBabb (or wait until next year and get Hoyer)

The few games I saw w/ McNabb he seemed washed up. Hate to describe McNabb this way because I'm actually a big fan of his. McNabb for Brunell and the Jets would once again have a useless backup that can't do anything upon entering the game.
