There is a forum with a game thread in it. Please keep your gameday thoughts in there. Yes, occasionally there are times during the game where something may deserve it's own thread. But think about what you're saying before you post. Most of the time there's already a thread for what you need to say, whether it's a game thread or a merged thread or just a regular thread. Not every new article deserves it's own thread unless it brings up a new point. The message board is not a chat room. Quality is more important than quantity. That's what game threads are for. They are as close as we get to chat rooms on here. That's where everyone can make kneejerk reactions or talk about the previous play or talk about things to do to win (or lose) the game. Usually this is MisterMoss's territory to make posts like this, but all the board has been lately are Chad Pennington, Kellen Clemens, or the Patriots spy-scandal. I understand those are the three main stories, but far too often on this board, there will be 3-4 different threads with the exact same arguments and exact same subject matter. Thanks.
Bump. Not every thought needs a new post. Most new thoughts have been discussed multiple times in other threads. If you have a long-winded post that you feel doesn't belong in another thread, feel free to start a new thread. But saying the Jets suck or Chad sucks or Kellen should start or Mangini is a bad coach or that the defense is awful are usually topics being discussed in other threads. There is zero need to start a new thread with a one-liner talking about something that is already being discussed in 8 other threads. Most longtime TGG posters rarely make new threads because they understand this concept. I'm just sick of every thread being about the exact same things by the exact same posters. All we want is the board to run smoothly and cause as diverse talk as possible. 95% of us want Pennington benched. Most of us are unhappy with Mangini and Schottenheimer and Tannenbaum. If there is no thread that your comment fits under, feel free to start a new thread. The moderators have had to merge far too many threads over the past few weeks. That should not be our job, please think before you post new threads. It's okay to reply to other people's threads.
