Assuming we sign a veteran QB as an insurance policy, who would you want it to be?

My vote goes to Byron Leftwich.

I say "fuck" Byron Leftwich and his two cinderblocks for feet.

If we HAD to sign a veteran....i'd probably go with Garcia (or trade for Bulger).....this is totally hypothetical though.

the question was...."if you had to pick a veteran QB to sign with the Jets...who would you want?"

and you respond with a list.

And based on your list....you would be comfortable with Charlie Frye signing with the Jets.

you never cease to amaze me, matey.

^^ Garcia is the only one who can get a winning record in that list.

Warner's asking price is too high for a team that needs to find its next franchise QB.

I provided the "list" of available free agent QBs. The list is active QBs if you wanted a list of has been veterans like Vinny Testaverde or Glenn Foley you will have to look elsewhere. Im not sure their is such a list in existence. Unless of course you could provide us with one.

    My choice is Kyle Boller.

You would and could be more comfortable with my foot up your ass.

If we HAD to sign one, and THAT'S the list, I'd take Warner...but he's too expensive AND too old which is why we WON'T sign anyone. He's the best of the bunch and even HE comes with baggage......to me , the rest of those guys would just be a waste of money ,as NONE of them are anything special and they would slow the development of EITHER of our young quarterbacks. I'm pulling for Ratliff, but if not him, then Clemens or Ainge. Let the young guys compete! No use wasting our time with re-treads and mediocre talent.

Kyle Boller eh?....with precision logic like that.....I'd be more worried you might drool on me rather than where you want to plant your foot.

Wheres the list I asked you for? I keep calling you out on the carpet and all you reply with is bullshit nonsense that im sure alot are sick and tired of but just dont feel like getting into it with you.

Yes Kyle Boller based on not overpaying for an insurance policy that may never take a snap all season long. Football logic something you know nothing about.

If we are signing a veteran QB through FA, it isn't going to be as "insurance", and it sure as hell won't be Kyle "suck-ass" Boller either. If they sign a guy, which I suspect we will, it will be to compete for the starting spot and hopefully challenge Clemens to up his game. I don't see them spending huge dollars on the position, but they will likely get someone who can actually motivate the young guys. I don't see how Boller would factor into that guy.

I look at that list and don't see anyone who would look comfortable with KC and Brett R starting over them.

holy christ.....dude, the OP asked the board to provide a name or two of who you would like to have as a veteran QB signing..if the Jets went that route.

You just went and copied a list. By doing that, you're saying that you wouldn't mind anybody on that list to be signed by the Jets....if that's what you're saying...then I stand corrected...but if you provided a list because you can't understand English and misread the OP...then you're the one wearing a dunce cap.
