I have to be honest, I really don't have much hatred towards our "cross town rivals". If anything, I am ambivalent towards them. Teams like the Patriots, Dolphins, and Bills definitely get real ire from me, but the Giants? Meh, I really don't care.
I don't hate the Giants. I hate that we are forced to share a stadium with them but that's about it. I don't care one way or the other about the team itself. What I do hate is short sighted ownership.
My father was a Giants fan so I can’t bring myself to hate the team or root for them to lose even though he passed away many years ago. Now as for their fans…. A good percentage of them should crawl into a hole and die. They are way too smug and “superior” for a team that really hasn’t been all that good for a while.
I don't see a reason to hate them. They play us in a meaningful game once every 4 years and have been just as bad as we have in recent years.
I only hate the Patriots and their fans. Most Giants fans I know are fair weather and only become invested when they are on a playoff run.
I really have no animosity towards the Giants, or their fans. When the leagues merged there was more of a rivalry. Besides how can you really hate a team that ended the Patriots undefeated season?
I really hate the Giants, and LOVE it when they lose. I especially love it when the lose multiple games in a row. They're losing right now to the Rams and I love it.
In addition to being a Jets fan, I'm also a Giants fan because my dad, brother, and uncle all are. They also have always liked the Jets as well. As others have said, however, I don't like sharing a stadium with the Giants, simply because I think it cuts into the Jets ability to forge their own identity. In general, teams that share cities with other teams do SOO much better in terms of fanbases when they have their own place. Look at the Yankees and Mets, White Sox and Cubs, Rangers and Islanders, Angels and Dodgers, etc. The Jets, I think, had much more of an identity when they were playing in Queens. I was really disappointed with West Side Stadium deal not working out.
Can’t hate on a team that’s ended the Pats championship dreams twice. Plus I like rooting for the NY teams. The only NFL teams that can fuck off are the Fish and the Pats.
