This will be the first year I will not be watching the big game, just cannot make myself root for one of these teams.

Reluctantly. I feel obligated to watch it and root against the Patsies.

Of course. Are these my two favorite teams? Not even close. But it's the Super Bowl. It should be a good game and if the Jets aren't in it then that's all I hope for. Well, that and the Pats losing. The fact that people get so worked up about these two making the Super Bowl is beyond me. Again, not my first choice but if the Jets aren't there I really don't care that much who is, but I will still tune in for the biggest and final game of the season.

If you are a football fan, you watch the Super Bowl. No matter what.

Will be rooting for the fans. As the giants fans here are annoying.

I have no plans on watching it. There's just no good way it can end.

Won't be the first SB I passed on, won't be the last. For me, the 2 week gap gives me closure to the season and at this point I could care less...

As a fan of the game I don't see any reason short of death that I would not watch it.

Whatever happens, it will be tough to watch. On the same token, I'm a fan of football so I feel I have to watch the game. It is history. Once the gun sounds or the game is pretty much decided, the TV goes off. I'll get anything else from an ESPN article.

I will watch and I will be pulling HARD for the Pats to lose. Don't matter who they're playing, just pulling hard for a big time Patriot beat down.

It will be a fun year in TGG having the Pats to punish everyday!!! The Pats haven't won shit since the end of spy gate....losing twice in the first round (once to us!!!) and losing twice in the superbowl. If they ain't cheatin they ain't winning!

And the 'other team'? Fuck em. Yeah, it will sting for 30 seconds watching those jackasses celebrate but it will be tons of fun watching the same jackasses miss the playoffs for the next 3 years like they always do.

This ain't a game where you root for a team to win, but rather a game where you root for the Patriots to get snot stomped. :metal:

    Grow a pair and watch.

    Its a game.

A team you don't like is going to win, so get over it.

And why root for anyone? No one has ever watched a game without giving a shit who wins?

If anything, what matters right now is New York's supremacy over anything New England/Boston/Worcester/Cape Cod related.

Everyone is looking at it the wrong way.

Look at it like 1 of the teams will have their hearts broken.

All of the players say they rather lose in the Champ game than get to the SB and lose. The loss is devastating to morale that you got so close and have to start over again next year.

I'll have the TV set on the game but honestly, I'm gonna be in RZC mode. Commercials mostly and just paying attention when something critical happens. I really couldn't give a shit about either team OR Madonna.

Watching the Pats and the Giants in the Super Bowl would be as much fun as watching a pair of toothless crack whores grind against the pole on the stage.

Why would I inflict that on myself?

Because it will be the highest rated Super Bowl in the history of the NFL.
