It's kind of depressing in a way..... I really don't know if our D will ever be this good again...

Even if we do retain all those players there is no guarantee that they will perform the same.

Case and point is our offense.... We have the same running back and offensive line as last year, yet this year we suck.

Why?? Faneca and Woody are a year older and a step slower...

Bart Scott is good, but he is 29... Mo Lewis and Marvin Jones were great at 29, but terrible at 30.... Shaun Ellis and Kris Jenkins are getting long in the tooth as well...

lets pull our head out of our ass and try this one.

maybe the scheme and the players are the components of having this defense. Now if the scheme works the way it does here and in Baltimore, and gives a team a top 5 defense they way it does, then obviously players can be replaced now can they??

Yes the franchise QB who is a natural leader and the HC who is proving to be a genius defensive mind are wasting away a top defense.... holy shit.

IQ tests before you join. Petrozza, it has to happen. I'm all for totalitarianism on TGG.

    Holy shit-

I know I'm a noob on the forum but far from a noob Jet fan.

Is this how this goes?? We lose, we all cry about every part of the game,
the- coaching, rushing, injury, draft problems, someone being twenty freakin 9, and rushing, did I mention rushing.

We lost 1 game to a great team, and lost by some rook mistakes we all saw coming.

PLEASE EVERYONE GET OFF THE BRIDGE, WE WILL BE FINE!

Your post is proof-positive as to why some people should not be allowed to ever start a thread, or even register on this board and contribute in any way, shape or form.

    WE LOST ONE FREAKING GAME!!!

Please run head-first into a wall, when you get up, do it again.

Since this is your first year here at TGG, I'm gonna have to let ya know, this is how things are around here. You're going to get a buncha idiots who throughout the course of the year, get enough posts to start threads, and create these idiotic threads (the very same you see here) to air out their un-intelligent thoughts. Don't let it get to you. NDMick has done a good job letting these a-holes know how retarded they are, so you gotta learn to let it go. It's tough, because you can't believe how retarded people are, but it's not worth the aggravation.

The Jets will be fine. If Sanchez does not give the saints 2 early Christmas gifts then the game would have been tied when all was said and done. 3-1 is a great record and the Jets will rebound next week against flipper. This is not the end of the world it is just one loss.

This D should be in tact for a couple of more years while we get Sanchez the experience he needs, build a little better OL and add a weapon or two.

Newsflash , we've been wasting all this talent on D for 6 years with subpar HC's . Now we finally have a coach who understands how to use the talent we have. Notice how players like Eric Smith, aned Bryan Thomas are looking much better - its coaching .

No worry about age , we can plug in pieces as needed because Rex/Pettine can adjust to the players we have.

We just need to give Shotty and Sanchez sometime to get their groove and this is going to be a tough team to beat.

It's pretty exciting to know that we'll be going to a talented Draft next off-season with Rex/Pettine scouting defensive players to fit their defensive scheme. We'll make moves on offense I'm sure, but I know I'll be giddy knowing Rex picked some DE, OLB, or even DT in the mid to later rounds. The guy knows what he's doing and gets what he wants. This D can only get better with more Rex Ryan-filled guys.

Yo this D hasn't even scratched it's full potential you serious? We have been hurt with injuries, and were still in EVERY GAME, Pace comes back, think about what additions we will make over the offseason, skies the limit IMO, the only thing that worries me is the DE spots
