these two guys are prototpyical NFL WR's. they may not have elite speed, but they're fast enough to play at the Pro level. i'd love to see the Jets get one of them in R2, though i think Manningham (if not both) will end up being a first round pick. but yea, a very nice replacement for Coles and, finally, a BIG (Arrington is 6'3, i think) target to go to downfield as well as in the red zone.
IMO. Manningham will be a better pro as he runs very good pass routes and has a nack to rack up the Yards After Catch..
I personally like Arrington better. Manningham has been more hyped for his entire time in Ann Arbor. Arrington is a lot bigger and I think has better hands, he just doesn't have the speed or route running of Manningham.
With the coaching change and the loss of Henne and the other seniors I could see Manningham coming out. Not sure where I see him as an NFL receiver. He's fairly small and will not match well against the 6'2" 195 lb corners that are becoming the standard.
yeah, just looking at him i thought he was bigger but he's listed as 6'0 (Arrington is the bigger one). but Manningham, despite his size, has the ability to go up and get the ball, and he's faster than i originally thought also. on NFLDC, his 40 is 4.45 which is definitely fast enough. we'll see how accurate that is in a few months. but i agree, i think Manningham will strongly consider leaving as he'll be in an Offense that won't feature him at all; in fact, he'll probably get less touches than ever before. he may as well go now while his stock is raised.
Both are great Recievers i think Mario Manningham will be a great reciever in the NFL. He reminds me a little bit of the former Wolverine , Braylon Edwards.
Arrington is a junior. He can leave but doesn't need to, same as Manningham. There hasn't been much speculation about him leaving (there has been for Manningham), but with Carr leaving, the system changing to a more run oriented system, and Manningham potentially leaving I think he might go. I would post a link to him being a junior but my post count isn't high enough. Regardless just look it up on any website. He's a rising junior (CO 2009).
