tekeo was released today by the eagles.. he led the team with 140 tackles in 14 games last season.. then i think he had shoulder surgery... Clearly he came back strong after his achilies injury and my guess is that the eagles cut him for salary cap reasons. He could be a good complement to Harris in the middle. He's definitely a bigger LB who could fit the 3-4. He probably won't come cheap, but he is a bit old and coming off an injury... thoughts?
only interest id have in it is if he was signed to a incentive laden contract that if he doesnt meet them, he will make a very avg salary. lol hes a complete diceroll at this point but one id be willing to gamble on if he doesnt come costly
Takeo Spikes is a headcase. After he tore his Achilles, he hasn't been the same dominant player like before the injury. Instead of playing with reckless abandon, he's playing scared. No thanks.
Spikes is worth a look-see...But Hobson would be very-good at ILB & needs to be resigned. Hobson & Harris in the middle....would 'Rock Some Bells'.
Spikes is the kind of veteran ILB we could get at a low price that could help Harris plug the middle behind Jenkins. He's never play on passing situatons, so he'd need to take a contract that fits his role. If he would I would sign him - he's a leader and a warrior.
boy is my face red... espn says 139 in their article, but 85 in the stat book.. looks like they goofed.
Most likely the 85 is solo and the 139 is total. I could be wrong, though, as I didn't bother to look it up. And even as I realize this, I won't. Because I don't feel like it. So nyah.
Spikes is a good player but a bad luck charm. He leaves Cincy and Buf is supposed to be a playoff team but Cincy eventually makes it and Buf never does then he leaves Buf to go to Philly who was nearly in the NFC Title Game the year before and Philly misses the playoffs. We have enough bad luck, we don't need any more.
He might want super big-buck$$.....But he's worth a look-see {ILB} & is definitely better than Kassell & Chatman. He can platoon with Barton & have an incentive laden contract.
