It was the early game on ESPN. TT vs Kansas. Crabtree dominated on a bum ankle. He keeps drawing comparisons to Andre Johnson and Fitz, only with more potential because he's young and possesses a bit more athleticism. The knock is on his Timed Speed, but we know that that doesn't always translate to gamespeed. I was impressed with him last year when I saw him play, but now, forget about it -- system Offense or not, he's legit. If we have any chance at getting him in April, I'd be willing to bypass going for the Franchise QB I keep mentioning, and take him. Coles is on the verge of being done. The other WR's have a lot of upside; yes, including Brad Smith. A tandem of Crabtree and Cotchery, along with Stuckey, Smith, Henry(?), and Keller as a receiving threat - and most importantly, an improved right-side OL, would be conducive to success for just about any QB. The questions are: Will he declare, and will the criticism of his speed allow him to slip to wherever we pick? Another factor is, his projected spot partially depends on the need of the teams who'll be drafting early with a shot at him.
He's pretty ridiculous. Got a good debate for this thread... More dominant in college(from an NFL prospec point of view): Cavin Johnson or Michael Crabtree? Note: Keep in mind that Crabtree plays in a WR friendly system and CJ didn't exactly have the greatest QB throwing to him.
