It's actually become a hobby of mine. I've taken the classic Italian Limoncello recipe and have applied it to other fruit:
Kudos to you my friend. Looks awesome Tell us more. I am a simple guy. I buy from liquor store and drink
Well, you can get the basic limoncello recipe here: https://makeityourown.com/recipes/limoncello/ I've had success with the basic Lemon, as well as orange, strawberries (yum), and cherries (MEGA-GOOD!). Peaches were a disaster. The alcohol just couldn't penetrate the fruit for enough flavor. What you see in the picture is my first attempt at raspberries, Classic Lemon, and my first attempt with limes. I have to wait a whole month for the fermentation process to complete.
I make glügg, it's called spiced wine but 1.5L grain alcohol andded to 3L of Port wine, which is then simmered for a couple of hours, takes it well above wine territory. It sneaks up on you since it is so sweet you don't realize the alcohol content, it also will give you a terrible hangover. Now I just need to find great grandpa's recipe for this year.
I make wine, cider and cherry brandy at home - very nice it is too. I think I currently have around 150 bottles of different wines laid down and maturing.
I made beer a few years back, but it was too much stuff for apartment living. I have more space now so I'm considering getting back into it.
