Ok as maybe a handfull of posters know, right now I'm hanging out in the middle east (shitty ass Bahrain). Been here since April and get to come back to the states early (May 26th) because I'm getting out of the Navy (contract is up, and getting an honorable discharge whoo hoo). The closest thing I get to seeing some actual ESPN or football news is this website along with maybe 2 others. Just wanted to know if any Jets news has been making any headlines/news or anything. Appreciate any info.

Try not to turn this into an arguement thread, all i want is some info please.

There isn't much news in the NFL in general at this time of year. The Jets rookie minicamp begins May 12th though...I would be happy to send you some info about that if you remind me.

Bahrain? I was TDY there from Saudi once, it's beautiful. The Navy is so lucky, their crappy assignments are better than most services' best ones. With the minor exception of being stuck at sea. :eek:hmy:

Here's where I go for news:

Awesome thanks for the info. Oh yeah, not sure if this is the right board to post it on but how much do Jets tickets run for, say around the 30-40 yearline, decent seats for one game.

The country itself is beautiful. Well it was when i was here last time (thirs time sent over here in the past 4 years). But they're re-building the entire country so all you see is big cranes all over the sky line. But once you see something here it isnt worth seeing it again. Oh, and the locals have been getting pretty hostile lately. Had to shut down the front gates a few times due to demonstrations around the outside of the base.
