Any advice on parking for Monday/Tuesday practices @ Flourham Park location??...haven't been there yet and remember reading that parking was limited....THX
I've been there before. Show up 45-60 min early so you can get a good viewing spot. Also, parking won't be an issue then.
If anyone has info on viewing spots, and what the general atmosphere, etc that would be awesome because I'm going either monday or tuesday. Can you get a tour of the facility at all?
I went to the mini camps last year and I had no problem finding spots to stand to watch. One side of the field was actually completely empty except for me and my friend while the other had a row or 2 of people. I'm not sure if they put in stands or anything for these mini camps though. And, we got there about 20 minutes before it started and parking wasn't an issue at all. I'm pretty sure they let people park on the grass all around.
well on wednesday they'll be there from 4-6, so that's a small victory. Then you have to wait a full year for them to return.
The parking lot at the Atlantic Health Center last year is a small hike to the field. They provided "short buses" from the lot to the field but is definitely walkable. Viewing of the field was first come first serve along one sideline, no seats or benches. Last year, it seemed as if VIP's had the ability to view from the players side of the field. Prior to getting to the field they had the Jets shop tent, flight crew and numerous booths advertising all sorts of stuff. Also, they had port-a-potties for doing business. The fans were only allowed to walk in certain areas of the complex. The interior was kept private. When practice was over, the players came over to sign autographs and chat with the fans. Probably the best part of the day. I'll most likely be there Tuesday with my 5 year old.
Get their EARLY, as early as you possibly can. Since the move to Cortland these local practices are a mob scene.
It was pretty reasonable last year. I went on Saturday morning last year. I believe the threat of thunderstorms in the AM scared some away but all-in-all, it was pretty enjoyable.
Can somebody link me to the information about these free practices. I have been looking around the team site but I can't find any information about it. Thanks. edit: nevermind.. finally got to the page
Hopefully, this awful weather will scare many people off, so it won't be as crowded. I'll try to make it there tomorrow morning.
I've never had trouble parking, they have massive parking on-site. But I definitely expect it to be mobbed. Cortland was mobbed, and that with fans having to drive 3+ hours to see the team...
I believe the latter. I would not be able to make it tomorrow anyway. My only chance is Hofstra on Wed.
