I did not expect them to rate anwar philips ahead of Jon joseph, richard Marshall, or kelly jennings. :breakdance:

This guy also has joseph addai, laurence maroney and lendale white ahead of Deangelo williams. Maybe Lendale and maroney are better but i dont think addai is better than williams:eek:hmy:

Also ranking Fasano over Marcedes is stupid... and Howard over Ryans and Carpenter is as well. Jason Avant at 4 surprised me too... with all the talk of Stovall, Hagan, Williams, and Nance of being the 4th best in this draft I completely forgot that Avant was in this draft. I actually like putting him here and Avant seems like an under the radar guy that can be a solid possession receiver for someone.

Anwar Phillips is not THAT good but he'd be a good late 2nd, 3rd round pickup for someone and has the credentials to potentially be a shut down corner. With the right coaching this kid will strive... without it he'll be a nickel or dimeback at best.

Carefully following Penn St. football I can tell you that Phillips has the size to be a good if not great CB in the NFL. Zemaitis is also a good prospect who is smaller but will thrive in a cover 2 scheme.

I've never really trusted the NFL site. It just seems like there doing there rankings to be different so they do some wild stuff like dropping DeAngelo Williams or pimping Anwar Phillips.

ESPN is more accurate and so are the NFL draft focused sites out there.

Phillips timed 40 was very disappointing...in the 4.7 range. To be a CB in the NFL, you have to get by more speed, especially a rookie. Veterans who lose a step, can make it up with experience, that rookies just don't have.

As a matter of fact, the few players from Penn State available in 06's draft, haven't been impressive.

Isn't that the definition of a Penn State football player? Huge pro disappointment?

Seriously, besides Larry Johnson, who has turned out better than or as expected?
