I always liked AA, not starter, but quality depth. It was clear with only 3 safeties the Jets had to make a move.
Isn't he coming back off an achilles issue? I was hoping either this year or next Revis transitions to safety too.
Like plenty others have said, I like him as a depth signing. That transition to cornerback probably sent him back an entire year developmentally and then tack and Achilles injury onto it... not good. I'm not expecting much from him but considering he's maybe third or fourth in line, he's going to fill his role well at safety.
Jets had tried to sign him after he became a FA but Texans won out to get his name on the dotted line - far away hills not always greener and after getting cut last weekend he came home
Nice! Good Man..... AA took a hit for that dipshit Izzik when Izzik left the Defensive Backfield short of players and AA had to go to CB, with hardly any practice time to boot.
Welcome back AA! Always liked this dude. He got kind of a bad rap when he was forced into corner duty for us IIRC but when allowed to play his natural position he was a really solid contributor.
Antonio Allen is a very good depth player/3rd down extra DB I think he will fit in great with Bowles' defense to guard the tight end and roam the short-middle He can also blitz pretty well for a DB
