    Positves
A productive tackle to tackle run plugger with great bulk, explosive power and natural strength. Takes great angles, gets his head around ballcarriers and wraps up. Plays with leverage and uses good lower-body strength. Schlegel is disciplined, reads keys well and reaely makes mental errors. Fills hard and delivers explosive initeial pop. Excels at taking on and disengaging from iso blocks and matches up well in the phone booth. An instinctive blitzer.
    Negatives
Slow, stiff and loses too much in transition. Will have trouble adjusting in space against shifty backs. Limited range in zone coverage makes him a liablity in most man to man istuations. Just ordinary ball skills. Had offseason knee surgery prior to senior year.

I have him as a sleeper pick at LB. I don't think the Jets needed to draft him this high but still he is going to be a good run player. I think the Jets are trying to get players that they can rotate into different situations. Should also be able to contribute one ST big time.

probably which means we should have drafted Watson then took him at the end of the 3rd. I also really wanted Dvoracek

Maybe he is a Mangini guy and maybe he will turn out to be a surprise pick-but if we could have gotten him in the 5th or 6 round-why should we take him in the third

Maybe he would've been there and maybe not! I just think that the FO has had a plan and an order in which they wanted to draft certain areas of concern and are sticking with that game plan. I guess only time will tell!!

seems like a lousy pick to me. There arent "Mangini" guys yet because he hasnt proven anything. At this point they need to be taking talented playmakers, not slow stiff reaches that have a 1-1000 shot of becoming teddy bruschi

Reminds me a lot of when we took Pouha last year, nobody knew who he was and all scouting reports said they completely reached, and I think they did again this time.
